Time is a gift given to us by God that is nonrenewable. Once a moment is gone, it is gone.
We may be tempted to invest our lives in petty diversions or in trivial pursuits. But our Father in heaven beckons each of us to a higher calling. It matters how we spend our time, for each day holds the potential for do a good deed, or to offer a heartfelt prayer. Our challenge, as believers, is to use our time wisely in the service of God’s work and in accordance with His plan for our lives.
Psalm 39:4-5: Show me, Lord, my life’s end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting is my life. You have made my days a mere handbreadth; the span of my years is as nothing before you. Each man’s life is but a breath.
