Why is it that some Christians grow rapidly in their Christian faith while others remain unchanged from year to year? Perhaps it is because our Christian maturity is deeply affected by what we sow, and we sometimes forget to take the time and effort to invest in our relationship with God, and in our relationships with others.
The Bible calls us to be intentional about our Christianity as we “sow generously.” Only in this way can we experience the fullness of God in every aspect of our Christian lives. After all, God has promised that He will bless us as we respond to his invitations to reach out to others with a willing heart.
“Remember this: The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously.” (2 Corinthians 9:6)
