He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor requite us according to our iniquities. (Psalm 103:10)
This scripture reminds us what grace is all about – that God’s forgiveness is not based on our merit. We can thank Him every day for that! (Just how many good deeds would it take to merit his grace anyway?)
Instead, God’s grace is based on His magnanimous nature, and His love for us. He showed us that most perfectly when He sent His only Son to live and die for us.
I have alway been told that GRACE stands for “God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense.” Sounds right to me!
Do you need to be reminded of God’s grace today? I would love to hear your story.
