Does God care about politics?
Evangelist Billy Graham, who just turned 98, certainly thinks so.
He recently remarked, on Facebook, that God cares about everything in our lives, including who will be the next president. (The story can be found online at http://www.christiantoday.com/article/billy.graham.god.cares.about.everything.in.our.lives.including.wholl.be.the.next.president/69574.htm)
He shared the Scripture from 1 Timothy 2:1-2, where Paul is instructing Timothy about how a local church should conduct itself: “I urge them, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions and thanksgiving be made…for kings and all those in authority.”
So what does this mean for us? It means that rather than experiencing election burnout, we should pray for Godly leaders, and pray that they promote public policy that benefits all Americans, not just some.
So join with me and pray for our leaders, present and future. God does care, and He will hear our prayers.
