“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
In Paul’s letter to the Philippians, we are reminded that we can let go of our anxiety and find peace. Peace comes from prayer, thanksgiving, and obedience to God’s will. So we are to lay our anxieties upon God, and leave them there!
There are a few things we must do to successfully plead with God to answer our prayers. First, we must ask early and often if we want Him to answer our prayers. Second, we must hate all evil, even within ourselves, and ask for God’s mercy. And finally, we must pray to live righteously and in obedience to God.
So pray for God’s will to be done, and you will surely find the peace that passes understanding.
