I was recently reading an article by Billy Graham that talked about the “warning light” of our conscience. Even when it is dulled or darkened by sin, our conscience can still bear witness to the reality of good and evil, and to the holiness of God.
Conscience can be our gentlest teacher and friend – and sometimes our worst enemy (or so we think) when we sin. Yet persistent attention to God’s Word will sharpen our conscience and make it more sensitive to moral and spiritual danger.
Is this happening in your life? Don’t disregard the truth found in your conscience – embrace it to find try joy and peace.
